JOHN WAYNE SACE – The actor shared his life story in an exclusive interview with Julius Babao.
John Wayne is a character actor and dancer. He made his mark in the entertainment industry as a former child actor who evolved into a teenage heartthrob. Sace’s journey began within the ranks of the ABS-CBN network’s circle of homegrown talents known as Star Magic.
Initially, he gained recognition as a child actor before joining the defunct boy dance group, AnimE, alongside other notable names like Rayver Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, Mhyco Aquino, Sergio Garcia, Emman Abeleda, and Mico Aytona. Despite early success as a teen idol, his career faced challenges due to various personal issues.

Despite these challenges, Sace made a comeback to mainstream acting through his role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano in 2021. In addition to his television career, Sace has appeared in various films such as “Dekada ’70,” which earned him the Best Child Performer award at the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2002. He also starred in “Kutob,” “Don’t Give Up on Us,” and “Beauty and the Bestie.”
