Mikoy Morales: “Uncomfortable kasi ‘yung tapes. Pero in general, I think I found it liberating.”
MIKOY MORALES – The Kapuso actor recently spoke about the intimate scenes in the Cinemalaya movie titled “Tether”.
The actor pulled off an award-winning performance in the movie where he played the role of an arrogant boy.
The actor was named as “Best Actor” in the full-length category at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2023 awarding ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center last August.
Mikoy is the celebrity guest in the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast where he talked about the intimate scenes he partook in the movie.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas, he shared that he had to stay naked for long periods of time, with only “makeshift plaster” taped on his skin in order to cover his sensitive parts. The actor also said that the tapes are “uncomfortable” for him but he found it “liberating” in general.
“Uncomfortable kasi ‘yung tapes. Pero in general, I think I found it liberating,” the actor said. “I found it liberating na to the point na parang, uy e di ibig sabihin effective ‘yung ginawa naming intimacy workshop. Kasi I felt that comfortable onset, so parang sinakyan ko na.”
According to him, he and his co-actors, director, and producer underwent an intimacy workshop ahead of filming in order to “set your boundaries”.
Meanwhile, Mikoy plays the role of “Libag” in the new series titled “Maging Sino Ka Man” starring actress Barbie Forteza and actor David Licauco. “Libag” was originally played by actor Dennis Padilla in the ’90s movie of the same title.
