Cesar Montano: “Actually, mayroon nang proposal. Excited ako, excited kami pareho.”
CESAR MONTANO – The actor recently spoke about the possible reunion movie with his ex-wife Sunshine Cruz.
The former couple have reunited plenty of times in real life, but they may just have an on-screen and on-stage reunion very soon.
Cesar said in an interview with PEP that he and Sunshine have been invited to perform in shows outside the Philippines. Aside from this, the actor also said that there’s a proposal for them to work on a movie together.
Although he shared that he and his ex-wife are both excited about the movie, the actor is still mum on the details – including the title of the said movie. However, the actor described the movie as a “dramedy”.
“Hopefully, baka sa ibang bansa, baka abroad. Mayroon kasing invitation sa akin sa abroad, ako at saka si Sunshine sa show. She likes it,” he said. “Saka we’re going to do a movie. Actually, mayroon nang proposal. Excited ako, excited kami pareho. Hindi ko lang masabi yung title saka yung story. But you’re gonna like it. It’s a dramedy, first time na hindi action.”
To recall, Sunshine revealed in an interview with reporters last May that she was offered a role in her ex-husband’s upcoming project.
Actor Cesar Montano and actress Sunshine Cruz married in 2000, broke up in 2013, and their marriage was annulled in 2018. They had three children named Angelina, Sam, and Chesca.
The former couple reconciled recently, as they reunited on Sam’s 18th birthday in 2022 and on her graduation last May. Aside from this, they also rang in 2023 with their blended family — including Cesar Montano’s current partner Kath Angeles and their children, as well as his son Diego Loyzaga.
Cesar and Sunshine first worked together in 1999 movie titled “Bullet”.
