Why was Sarah Geronimo’s concert in Pampanga postponed?
SARAH GERONIMO – The concert of the Popstar Royalty in Pampanga featuring singer-songwriter Bamboo has been postponed.
Sarah Geronimo, also known as Sarah G, is a renowned Filipino singer and actress, often referred to as the “Popstar Royalty” due to her outstanding musical talent and versatile performances. She has received numerous awards, including an Mnet Asian Music Award, an MTV Europe Music Award, a Classic Rock Roll of Honour Award, and a World Music Award. Within the first seven years of her career, she sold a million records, making her the fastest-selling Filipino artist of her generation.
Sarah’s journey to stardom began with her victory in the television singing competition Star for a Night. Aside from her music career, Sarah ventured into acting, starring in films such as “A Very Special Love,” “You Changed My Life,” “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” “Maybe This Time,” and “The Breakup Playlist,” among others.
Sarah was supposed to hold a concert on October 1. However, it was moved to October 29. In an announcement from Viva Live and G Productions, the organizers explained that the singer-actress is currently recovering from an unexpected medical condition. They expressed regret over the change and emphasized that Sarah Geronimo’s health is their top priority.
“We regret to inform the fans of Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo that the Pampanga leg of Sarah G x Bamboo tour originally scheduled for Oct. 1 at SMX Convention Center Clark is postponed and will be moved to Oct. 29 (Sunday) instead,” the statement read.
Furthermore, they assured fans that the tickets already purchased can still be used for the rescheduled date. Sarah also personally apologized to her fans through her X (formerly Twitter) account. In a tweet, she said, “Hi guys. I’m so sorry we have to reschedule our Pampanga show due to medical reasons.” She also thanked her fans for their support and understanding.
To recall, it was on September 22 when Sarah and Bamboo began their concert tour with an event in Davao. Apart from Pampanga, they are scheduled to perform in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and Cebu.
