Amid their issue with MTRCB, Xian Gaza came to the defense of Vice Ganda and Ion Perez
XIAN GAZA – The internet personality came to the defense of It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez after the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) raised concerns about their actions during the Isip Bata segment of the show.
Xian Gaza expressed his belief that there was no intention of indecency in the acts done by Vice and Ion, and any perceived indecency was only the interpretation of the agency. He emphasized that he saw no obscenity in their actions, and he encouraged others to focus on their intentions rather than assuming the worst.
“Movie and Television Review and Classification Board alam ko po na yung opinyon ko ay walang bilang sa mundo pero gusto ko lang po i-express na wala akong nakikitang kalaswaan sa ginawa ni Vice Ganda at Ion Perez,” he noted.
Xian Gaza also pointed out what he perceived as gender discrimination, stating that if Vice were a natural-born woman, the MTRCB might not have summoned the show’s producers in the first place. He felt that the agency unfairly targeted them based on their gender orientation.
As of now, It’s Showtime has not made any public statement on the issue, and Vice Ganda, known for being vocal against his critics, has remained silent regarding the matter. Meanwhile, the comedian recently went to social media wherein he posted some snaps of himself while vacationing with his partner, amid their issue with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
