Wally Bayola Keeps Mum On “Pagmumura” Issue

Wally Bayola: “I want to keep it privately muna kasi nga, ongoing pa ‘yung pag-uusap”

WALLY BAYOLA – The “E.A.T.” host refused to speak about the issue of his “pagmumura” on the TV5 noontime show.

The comedian was interviewed by the entertainment press at the media conference for his and Jose Manalo’s upcoming TV5 show “Wow Mali Doble Tama” last Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo are taking the reins from TV host Joey de Leon in hosting the return of “Wow Mali”. Joey de Leon previously hosted the comedy prank show when it aired from 1996-2008 and again from 2009-2015.

In an interview with the entertainment press, Wally said that he can’t give an update about the said issue yet because he wants to keep it privately for a while and “ongoing pa ‘yung pag-uusap” between the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and the production staff of the noontime show.

Although he already apologized to the public after using explicit language in the segment of the noontime show, Wally said he’s willing to do what will be required from him. Jose Manalo, for his part, gave his support to Wally and said that apologizing doesn’t diminish one’s character.

Kesa patatagalin pa natin. ‘Wag nang patagalin. Ke kasalanan mo o hindi, mag-sorry tayo. Wala namang masama e. Hindi nakakabawas ng pagkatao ‘yung pagso-sorry,” Jose said. “The more na nagpapakumbaba ka, the more na mas maganda ‘yung ginagawa mo. Hindi mo kailangan mag-mataas dahil isa lang ang nasa taas at isa lang ang Superstar.

It can be recalled that the MTRCB summoned the management of the noontime show because of what Wally said in the segment “Sugod Bahay Mga Kapatid” last August 10, 2023. Wally apologized after facing backlash on social media, admitting that he said something that he shouldn’t have said.

Jose and Wally will be the new prank masters of “Wow Mali: Doble Tama” – a comedy prank show that is co-produced by APT Entertainment and Cignal TV. The comedy prank show will premiere on August 26, 2023 at 6:15 p.m. on TV5, with replays on the same day at 7:00 p.m. on Cignal’s Buko Channel.
