MELAI CANTIVEROS – The comedienne-television host addressed the bashers of her daughters after they received criticism from netizens for calling their mom “mukhang unggoy.”
The Magandang Buhay host and her daughters, Mela and Stela, are well-known for their humorous and naturally funny personalities, which have always brought joy to people online. However, on August 5, 2023, Melai’s children received criticism from internet users for making a joke about their mother’s looks in a video.
In the video shared by Melai, Mela playfully talked about the beauty products her mother purchases, jokingly commenting, “Guys, nagbibili pa rin si Mama ng mga products, beauty products, pero mukha pa rin siyang unggoy.” Stela, Melai’s other child, also joined in from the background, calling her mother a ‘unggoy.’
For some netizens, Mela and Stela went too far by teasing their own mother’s appearance. They expressed concern that Melai should have taught her children proper manners, as such behavior might persist as they grow older.
On Instagram, Melai Cantiveros addressed the bashers criticizing her daughters after they called their mom “mukhang unggoy.” In the video, her eldest child Mela stressed that it was just a “joke.”
In the caption of her post, the Magandang Buhay host stressed: “Di ako papayag na kng anu anu sasabihin nyu sa anak ko dahil ako ang dumidisplina sa mga anak ko ,kilala ko mga anak ko madasalin mga yan pati mundo pinagdarasal nga ng mga yan.” She added: “Disiplinado mga yan at Masayahin , alam nga mga anak ko guys kung kailan ang kulitan at kailan ang seryosohan.”
