Cristy Fermin Criticizes Speeches Made by Paolo Contis on “Eat Bulaga”

Here’s the reaction of Cristy Fermin to the speeches made by Paolo Contis on Eat Bulaga

CRISTY FERMIN – The entertainment columnist has been critical of the speeches made by Paolo Contis during the airing of Eat Bulaga.

Cristy mentioned in one of her online programs that many netizens have been questioning why the Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. consistently allows Paolo to deliver speeches at the end of some episodes of the noontime show.

These speeches from Paolo Contis have centered around the various issues that have been raised against Eat Bulaga and its staff. Recently, Paolo even discussed the ownership of Eat Bulaga, which drew reactions from the original hosts of the show including the iconic trio; Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon also known as TVJ.

Cristy Fermin believes that Paolo’s approach has been confrontational, and at the same time, he seems to be portraying himself as a victim in the midst of these issues. She remarked, “Siya ‘yung starter, pero siya ‘yung pa-victim”.

Rommel Chika, Cristy’s co-host, chimed in, commenting on how Paolo’s statements appear assertive when delivered, but when the show is about to end, he suddenly retreats. Cristy eventually concurred with the notion that if Eat Bulaga does not want to receive criticism from netizens, they should consider changing their format or title.

As of now, Paolo Contis has yet to make any statement regarding this issue. Aside from Paolo Contis, other hosts of the revamped version of Eat Bulaga include former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Legaspi twins, and several others.
