Willie Revillame was allegedly invited to appear on Eat Bulaga last July 1 but turned down the offer
WILLIE REVILLAME – The gameshow host was allegedly invited to appear on the July 1 episode of TAPE’s Eat Bulaga according to Cristy Fermin via her online show “Cristy Ferminute.”
Fermin stated that the executives of TAPE Inc., the production company behind Eat Bulaga, attempted to negotiate with Revillame to have him as a special guest on their show to compete against TVJ’s ‘E.A.T.’
Fermin mentioned that members of the Jalosjos family met with Revillame’s team to discuss the possibility of his appearance on Eat Bulaga’s first monthsarry episode. However, Revillame declined the offer, expressing interest only if TAPE Inc. would discuss his own show, ‘Wowowin.’
Revillame reportedly emphasized his deep respect for Tito, Vic, and Joey (TVJ), the former main hosts of Eat Bulaga, and stated that he was not interested in competing with them anymore. “Isa lang ang sinabi ni Willie, ‘Matindi ang respeto ko sa Tito, Vic, at Joey. Hindi ko magagawa yun.’ Ang ganda diba? ‘Pero kung ang dahilan kung bakit niyo kaharap ako ngayon ay ang Wowowin, sige pag-usapan natin.’ Yun ang sinabi niya,” she said.
It is worth noting that Revillame’s previous shows, such as ‘Wowowee,’ ‘Willing Willie/Wil Time Bigtime,’ and ‘Wowowillie,’ had been direct competitors of Eat Bulaga for eight years. However, Revillame decided to move away from the noontime slot and shifted his show to a nighttime schedule.
At this point, it remains uncertain whether Revillame is interested in returning to the noontime slot or if his primary focus is on discussing his upcoming show, ‘Wowowin,’ with TAPE Inc.
