Episode Bar + Kitchen acquired; Rendon Labador is no longer the owner
RENDON LABADOR – The controversial motivational speaker, is allegedly no longer the owner of Episode Bar + Kitchen.
Earlier this year, the said sports bar opened its doors to Filipino customers. However, its grand opening was not well-received by the public due to the frustration of many with Labador. At the time, Labador was critical of Coco Martin following the shooting of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo in Quiapo, Manila.
Apparently, his business was significantly affected at the time. In fact, when Episode Bar + Kitchen first opened, they received zero sales. They then decided to hold another grand opening.
The sports bar was also heavily criticized for the price of the “motivational rice” popularized by Rendon, which cost P100 per cup. Eventually, he decided to adjust the price. Previously, Episode Bar + Kitchen took to social media to share that they have been acquired, meaning the restaurant has a new owner/s.
“Following this change, Mr. Rendon Labador has severed all associations with Episode Bar + Kitchen. This transformation allows us to further enhance our dedication to our core values of positivity, excellent service, and delectable food,” the restaurant noted in an official statement.
According to the restaurant, they have made changes to their menu, and now their cup of rice is priced at P50. Episode Bar + Kitchen, on the other hand, is hoping that they won’t receive negative comments now that it is under new management. The restaurant is also thankful for the positive comments and feedback that they have been receiving with the new management.
As of press time, Rendon Labador has yet to issue any statement about Episode Bar + Kitchen.
