Pia Wurtzbach: “Hong Kong is where Jeremy and I had our 2nd date and it’s where we fell in love.”
PIA WURTZBACH – The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder recently revealed that she fell in love with her husband, entrepreneur Jeremy Jauncey, in Hong Kong.
Jeremy Jauncey and Pia Wurtzbach confirmed their relationship in 2020, got engaged in 2022, and got married at a private North Island in Seychelles in March 2023.
Pia posted a series of photos on her Instagram account and also shared a story on why Hong Kong is memorable for the two of them as a couple.
According to her, Hong Kong is where she and her husband had their second date and is where they fell in love with each other.
“Day 1 in Hong Kong. It’s great to be back!” she said in the caption of her post. “#HongKong is where Jeremy and I had our 2nd date and it’s where we fell in love. Nabudol ko siya kala niya catch ako.”
Aside from this, she also said that Hong Kong holds a special place in her heart because of her fond memories with her family in Disneyland.
Jeremy, for his part, also looked back on their “second ever date” on Threads – a text-based app built by Meta.

Jeremy and Pia have been active on Threads and they even shared about their experience during their stay in Hong Kong.
Pia even looked back on her past experience on Twitter in her previous thread, saying that it was in 2020 when she’s getting hate tweets “literally every 30 seconds” when she voiced out her opinion on the Anti-Terror Law.
“I remember not even shading the govt or the president, I just tweeted a hashtag and got so much hate,” she said at that time. “I had to uninstall the app for a week to avoid checking the mentions.”
