PAOLO CONTIS – The host of the new Eat Bulaga seemed to be unbothered by the telecast of It’s Showtime on GTV and TVJ’s new show on TV5.
July 1 marked the debut of “It’s Showtime” on GTV and TVJ + Legit Dabarkads on TV5, while Eat Bulaga! by TAPE celebrated its revamped version with new hosts in its first month. During the Bubble Gang media conference on June 30, Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, and Buboy Villar shared details about the shows.
There is intense competition among the noontime shows, but they believe it ultimately depends on viewers’ preferences. Paolo emphasized that it’s a celebration of having three choices rather than fighting against each other. They aim to convince and persuade the audience by doing their job properly.
Paolo and his colleagues in Eat Bulaga! are grateful for the support they received, which lessens the pressure on them. They see their first month as a celebration and are proud of their progress amidst the challenges and bashing they faced.
The bond among Paolo, Betong, and Buboy has grown stronger as they work together in Eat Bulaga! and Bubble Gang. Buboy is part of the new format of Bubble Gang, airing on Sundays starting July 9.
The entry of It’s Showtime on GTV is not seen as a threat but rather an opportunity for a crossover. They wonder which Showtime personalities could be guests on Eat Bulaga! and are excited about the possibility.
