OWWA SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS – Here is a guide on how much scholars may get under the OFW Dependents Scholarship Program (ODSP).
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) offers several types of scholarships for the dependents of OFWs. One of these is the OFW Dependents Scholarship Program or the ODSP which was crafted for the dependents of Pinoys working abroad who earn US$ 600 and below.
For the OWWA scholarship benefits under the OFW Dependents Scholarship Program (ODSP), each scholar will receive a financial assistance amounting to P20,000.00 per academic year.
The OWWA scholarship benefits are open for both 4-year and 5-year baccalaureate courses. To qualify for the scholarship program application, the student applicant must possess the following qualities:
If you are an incoming first year college student, you must be:
- Single
- Grade 11 graduate (Incoming Grade 12 / currently enrolled as Grade 12)
- Not more than 21 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
If you are currently in your 2nd-5th year in college, you must be:
- Single
- Not more than 30 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
