MARIO DUMAUAL – The family of the late journalist and broadcaster has released details regarding his wake and interment.

The 64-year-old showbiz reporter passed away at 8:01 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, as a result of septic shock, a condition that can occur in severe cases of sepsis where blood pressure drops and organs do not receive enough oxygen.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie, and their five children: Luigi, Miguel, Maxine, William, and Thessa. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Sky, Alonzoe, and Tali. Additionally, he leaves behind his siblings.

Mario’s wife shared that he had been battling a severe fungal infection, which developed as a complication during his recovery from a heart attack. He had been hospitalized for one month at the Philippine Heart Center.

Cherie emphasized that Mario Dumaual fought bravely, overcoming the heart attack and subsequent cardiac arrest. She mentioned that he frequently expressed his longing to return home because he missed his family dearly. Unfortunately, the infection proved too much for his body to overcome, ultimately leading to his passing.

His death left netizens and celebrities mourning. Among those who paid tribute to the late showbiz reporter is Julius Babao, Marc Logan, Boy Abunda, Jed Madela and to name a few.

Meanwhile, the family of Mario Dumaual, the late journalist and broadcaster, has released details regarding his wake and interment. According to official announcements on his Instagram and Facebook pages, the wake will commence on Thursday, July 6, at 2 p.m. and will continue until Sunday afternoon, July 9, at the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Commonwealth, Quezon City. The interment ceremony is also scheduled for Sunday at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
