A kind-hearted woman helped a 74-year-old jeepney driver who accidentally sideswiped and damaged her vehicle.

A Facebook user named Kamz Alvarez has shared a heartfelt post of how she showed compassion for a jeepney driver who allegedly had a minor collision with her van in front of their boutique. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Kamz pointed out in her post that she entrusted the operation of their boutique, as well as the rental van in the photo, to her sibling while she was abroad.

According to her, they were asked to pay the operator for the damages caused by the jeepney driver because the driver was merely providing a contracted service.

Kamz received messages from her sibling confirming the incident. She was brought to tears when she watched the video of the jeepney driver’s attempt to walk and catch his breath.

As a gesture of compassion, she made the decision to return the money to the jeepney driver and surprised him with rice and groceries.

“Yesterday, naka park ang van sa harap ng shop namin sa may gasoline station ng biglang may nakasagi neto. He’s the 74yrs old Tatay from Sta Rita.

So dahil tulog na ko, they asked for his id and yung operator ang nagbayad sana sa “damage” na kakaltasin sa sahod ni tatay.

Pag gising ko nakita ko messages ng ate ko and nakita ko nga na he’s old and yet trying to make a living.

My dad was before a tricycle driver, and I can vividly remember when I was in grade school he was begging the LTO officer not to get his license dahil wala syang pantubos

When I talked to Tatay he was so relieved and thankful, kasi nagmamaintenance pa pala sya Di daw sya nakatulog kagabi kasi d nya alam paano nya babayaran yun.

May this remind us, that small act can make big impact. Minsan hindi mo kailangan maging tama, minsan kailangan mo lang ng pang unawa.

Thank you tol Karla and Aldrin Vlog

May God bless you Tay, balik ka po sa pasko”
