Here’s the tip of Joey de Leon as E.A.T. leads noontime ratings again
JOEY DE LEON – The comedian and television host offered a tip after their noontime show “E.A.T” on TV5 reclaimed the top spot in the noontime ratings.
Reportedly, E.A.T, the noontime show hosted by TVJ on TV5, achieved the highest position in the July 22 TV ratings for local noontime shows, based on data from market research firm AGB Nielsen. To celebrate this accomplishment, De Leon took to Instagram and seemingly took a swipe at “copycats.”
In the photo card he posted, their show received the highest average program rating at 4.94%. Meanwhile, rival shows “Eat Bulaga” and “It’s Showtime” obtained 3.24% and 3.55% (combined), respectively.
His post was accompanied by the caption “Gumawa hindi gumaya! Lumikha hindi kamukha!” Some netizens believed he was indirectly referring to the revamped version of “Eat Bulaga,” which is now hosted by Isko Moreno, Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Legaspi twins, and others.
Meanwhile, it was recently when TVJ, the iconic trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, filed copyright infringement and unfair competition complaints against GMA Network and TAPE Inc., the production company behind the revamped “Eat Bulaga.”
They also submitted a petition requesting a preliminary injunction to prevent TAPE and GMA Network from using the name, logo, and other elements of the new “Eat Bulaga.” The court has already scheduled dates for the hearing of the petition for the preliminary injunction.
