Desperate Father Breaks Windshield to Rescue His Baby Trapped Inside Locked Car

To rescue his baby inside a locked car, a desperate father broke the windshield

TEXAS – A father smashed the windshield of his car after leaving the baby inside the vehicle.

The incident occurred amidst a severe heat wave sweeping across the U.S., leading to an alarming increase in cases of children dying after being left inside parked cars.

In a viral TikTok video filmed last week in Southern Texas, an SUV with a crying baby inside was surrounded by concerned onlookers in a grocery store parking lot. A man wearing a black T-shirt and cap stepped up to break the windshield using a hammer to gain access to the baby inside. Moments later, the man managed to retrieve the infant from the vehicle, and both emerged safely from the car.

CNN reported that the father accidentally left the car keys inside, along with the baby. It turned out that the person who broke the windshield was the baby’s mother. Rescuers arrived shortly after the incident and confirmed that the baby was safe. No charges were filed against the parents.

Fox News covered the incident, emphasizing the crucial importance of parents acting swiftly to rescue their children from hot cars. Sadly, there have been 14 reported cases of children dying in such situations.

Officials also warned that temperatures inside a car can rapidly rise within minutes. For example, if the inside temperature is 30 degrees Celsius, it can soar to 50 degrees Celsius in just 10 minutes, posing great danger to a child left unattended in a vehicle.

The viral video of the rescued baby has garnered 6.8 million views. In the comments section, many expressed concern about the dangers of leaving children in cars amidst the brutal heat wave sweeping across Texas. Some found it hard to believe that a baby could be forgotten in a car.
