Vice Ganda: “Dear ‘It’s Showtime’ family, alam kong nagulat kayo. Naguguluhan. Natatakot. Nalulungkot. Naiiyak. Haaaaay! Hingang malalim.”
VICE GANDA – Here’s what the TV host and comedian said about ABS-CBN’s announcement on the transfer of “It’s Showtime” to GMA Network’s GTV starting July 1, 2023.
It was last June 20 when ABS-CBN announced that Kapamilya noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” would no longer be seen on TV5.
Vice took to social media to address fans who were surprised upon the announcement of the Kapamilya network.
The comedian admitted in a social media post that while the transfer of “It’s Showtime” to GMA Network’s GTV was surprising, it marks a new chapter for the Kapamilya noontime variety show. He also told fans to take a deep breath and try to stay calm.
“Dear ‘It’s Showtime’ family, alam kong nagulat kayo. Naguguluhan. Natatakot. Nalulungkot. Naiiyak. Haaaaay! Hingang malalim,” he said. “May kaguluhan at kabilisan ang mga ganap. Gayunpaman, kalma lang (at least try).”
Vice stressed that “madlang people” will remain as the priority of the noontime show’s hosts and crew despite the change in networks. He even referred to them as their “totoong tahanan”.

The comedian also said that they will continue to move forward no matter what hardships they go through. He went on to thank “Madlang People” in his social media post, saying that they will move forward in their goal of bringing joy and hope.
His social media post was filled with supportive messages from fellow celebrities and “It’s Showtime” supporters, as seen in the comments section of his post.
“It’s Showtime” will air on Kapatid network’s noontime slot until June 30, 2023 and it will be broadcast in Kapamilya Network, Kapamilya Online Live, TFC, iWANTTFC, and GMA Network’s GTV the day after.
The transfer of “It’s Showtime” to GMA Network’s GTV was announced hours before the original casts of “Eat Bulaga” led by TVJ — Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon — signed a contract with TV5 and held a media conference.
