Lorin Bektas: “I have always seen my mom as the strongest woman I know.”
LORIN BEKTAS – The daughter of actress Ruffa Gutierrez and ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas shared some of her favorite memories with her mother.
Ruffa Gutierrez is celebrating her 49th birthday on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Prior to this, her daughter Lorin posted a video on her TikTok account where she shared some of her favorite memories with her mother.
Lorin Bektas is the daughter of Ruffa and Yilmas. She also has a younger sister named Venice.
Lorin started the “GRWM (Get Ready With Me)” video by telling her viewers that she’s getting ready for Ruffa’s birthday lunch, which happened a day before her mother’s birthday.
In the said video, Lorin said that she was convinced that she was part of the royal family when she was younger because she saw photos of her mother wearing a crown on her head.
It was in 1993 when Ruffa Gutierrez represented the Philippines in the Miss World pageant and was placed 2nd runner-up at that time.

She also said that she remembered the time when her mother was part of the now-defunct talk show “The Buzz” growing up.
According to her, she spent a lot of her childhood in the dressing rooms and she was sad when her mother left the show at that time because she has “spent so many core memories there”,
“I have always seen my mom as the strongest woman I know,” Lorin said. “She’s a single, working mom and works so hard to get me and my sister a life that we love and just take us on all these amazing experiences and trips and pay for our education and things like that.”
Lorin added that her mother gives the “best advice”, especially life and love advice.

Ruffa, for her part, posted photos of herself on her social media account last June 23 and said that she’s turning a year older on June 24 but looking much younger because she has finally achieved a radiant, glass skin.
Sharing a series of photos with her daughters Lorin and Venice, the actress expressed her happiness as she’s able to bond with her daughters over lunch.
