June 28 Holiday & the Full List of Holidays This Year 2023

June 28 Holiday for Muslim Celebration in PH

JUNE 28 HOLIDAY – Today is holiday in the Philippines for a Muslim celebration and there are several other holidays left in a year.

Today, classes in schools are cancelled in the Philippines as well as the work operation in government offices and some private companies. It is due to the holiday announcement in observance of the Muslim people of one of their biggest feasts in a year.

The Muslim people celebrate the Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice which commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, to show his obedience to God. It also reminds about selflessness, service, and charity to the poor.

The Eid al-Adha is a second part of the celebration. It was the Malacañang Palace that announced earlier this month about the event being a national holiday in the country today, June 28, 2023.
