Rica Peralejo: “I haven’t totally closed the door to acting. I sometimes miss it.”

RICA PERALEJO – The actress-turned-content creator recently shared that she’s open to returning to acting.

The content creator was asked during the Philippine launch of Soffell at Glorietta in Makati last May 6, 2023 about a possible return to showbiz as she has not done a movie or a TV role in a decade.

According to a report on Philstar.com, Rica said that she hasn’t totally closed the door to acting and she sometimes misses it. She also said she misses acting the most because of the craft, adding that she’s exercising whatever skills she gained through the years.

Rica added that she wants to star in a well-written project for her return to acting.

I haven’t totally closed the door to acting. I sometimes miss it. Of all the things that I can do, I miss that the most because of the craft, exercising whatever skills I gained through the years,” she said. “I have to know the story is amazing. It could be something so common but so well-told.

Rica also shared that aside from a good storytelling, it matters to her who will execute the story.

She revealed that if there’s a director that she really likes, that would be Direk Erik Matti because “he has been my director before”.

According to her, she would probably do the project for him if he was the director. Philstar.com reported that Erik Matti is the director of Rica Peralejo’s two movies “Dos Ekis” and “Sa Huling Paghihintay”.

So [I would do] drama or action, gusto ko ng action, family also — anything that’s very near to my values,” she said.

Rica also shared that she missed Direk Lauren Dyogi, adding that she’s not sure if he still does directorial work.
