Moira Dela Torre: “Let me be clear: I have never employed a ghostwriter.”
MOIRA DELA TORRE – The singer recently broke her silence after she was being accused of hiring a “ghostwriter”.
To recall, it was last May 28 when songwriter Lolito Go released a statement about the breakup of Moira and Jason Marvin. In a statement, he claimed that Moira asked him about his price for “ghostwriting for her last year”.
Moira released a lengthy statement on her social media accounts to address the accusations against her.
The singer started her statement by saying that she never imagined she would find herself in a situation where she has to explain and defend her decision to leave a marriage and to also justify the state of her mental health.
According to her, it’s “truly disheartening” that she’s being questioned and asked to prove her worth as an artist and as a songwriter. But despite the overwhelming circumstances, the singer said that she feels “a strong inner calling” to stand up for herself and to protect her integrity as well.
“I want to set things straight once and for all. Let me be clear: I have never employed a ghostwriter,” Moira said.
She shared that throughout her singing career, she has been fortunate enough to collaborate with “immensely talented artists” who treat each other with respect and also acknowledge the contributions they bring to the table.
Moira added that every song she has created is a “true reflection” of her deepest emotions and experiences.
The singer also said that she’s fully prepared to provide evidence that supports the truth, which will “undoubtedly validate and disprove the harmful accusations” made against her — including screenshots of conversations and recordings of her songs.

Aside from this, Moira also said that she “didn’t cheat on Jason”. According to her, it’s “unfair” that she finds herself in a position where she has to defend her name and to even explain why she didn’t deserve to be cheated on.
She shared that she’s currently focusing on her “path towards healing” as the weight of trauma still heavily lingers in her heart.
Moira added that the process is not only essential for her own well-being but also for the well-being of those dear to her who have unwaveringly stood by her side throughout those challenging times.
The singer ended her statement by saying she’s holding onto hope that one day, when the dust settles and clarity is restored, she will have the capacity to embrace a love that’s genuine and faithful.
She added that she takes solace in the knowledge that she’s an artist who will bravely navigate those challenges and will emerge stronger than ever.
