Commissioned artwork destroyed by a teacher

EDMAR CASINILLO – An artist took to social media to express his disappointment after a teacher allegedly destroyed a painting he had dedicated two months to creating.

On Facebook, Edmar shared the details of his interaction with the teacher, who had commissioned him to paint their family photo. After diligently completing the artwork, Edmar personally delivered it to the teacher.

However, the teacher refused to pay for the artwork, citing a lack of funds. To compound the distressing situation, the teacher openly confessed to destroying the painting due to dissatisfaction, stating, “Di ko maidisplay nakakahiya akala ko nga wala na e dahil sa inis ko un sinunog ko.”

Edmar’s sadness and disappointment were palpable as he recounted the incident with his followers on social media. He expressed his dismay at the loss of his meticulously crafted 14-heads oil painting, expressing a glimmer of hope that the teacher would have simply returned it if she did not appreciate it.

The Facebook post swiftly gained significant traction, accumulating 14,000 shares at the time of writing. Many netizens strongly encouraged Edmar to report the teacher’s unethical behavior to the Department of Education (DepEd).
