LOLIT SOLIS – The talent manager and veteran entertainment columnist reminisced about the “taggutom days” she shared with comedian and content creator Ogie Diaz.

It was on Sunday when Diaz announced through social media that his mother, Mameng, had passed away at the age of 87. Diaz expressed his gratitude to everyone who offered condolences and revealed that his mother had seen all her children complete before her passing. He also mentioned that he was proud to have fulfilled his mother’s dreams during her lifetime. Diaz ended his post by thanking his mother for her selflessness and sacrifices and sending his love to her.

“Salamat sa lahat ng pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng aking mahal na ina, si Aling Mameng. 87yo, hindi na kami choosy. At least, naipikit niya ang kanyang mga mata na kumpleto ang kanyang mga anak. Higit sa lahat, I’m proud to say na naibigay ko naman sa nanay ko ang lahat ng pangarap niya sa buhay. Salamat sa lahat ng sakripisyo at pagiging selfless, Nay! Mahal kita. Magkasama na kayo ngayon ni tatay,” he noted.

On her Instagram account, Lolit posted a photo of Ogie with his late mother, along with a story about their past experiences together. Lolit expressed her condolences to Ogie and his family for the loss of his mother, Carmen Pandaan. She shared that she knows how painful it is to lose a parent, especially a mother.

Lolit recalled their past experiences, where they were both without cars and would hang out at Escolta and Avenida Rizal where movie production offices were located. She described those times as their “taggutom days,” where they would be thrilled to receive a little help and stay up all night for a shooting just to earn a small reward.
