OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager and entertainment writer announced on Sunday through social media that his mother, Mameng, had passed away at the age of 87.

Diaz expressed his gratitude to everyone who offered condolences and revealed that his mother had seen all her children complete before her passing. He also mentioned that he was proud to have fulfilled his mother’s dreams during her lifetime. Diaz ended his post by thanking his mother for her selflessness and sacrifices and sending his love to her.

“Salamat sa lahat ng pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng aking mahal na ina, si Aling Mameng. 87yo, hindi na kami choosy. At least, naipikit niya ang kanyang mga mata na kumpleto ang kanyang mga anak. Higit sa lahat, I’m proud to say na naibigay ko naman sa nanay ko ang lahat ng pangarap niya sa buhay. Salamat sa lahat ng sakripisyo at pagiging selfless, Nay! Mahal kita. Magkasama na kayo ngayon ni tatay,” he noted.

In a recent message posted by comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz, he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of those who took the time to offer their condolences.

Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz, whose real name is Roger Diaz Pandaan, multi-talented Filipino comedian, actor, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was born on January 2, 1970 and was the sixth of eight siblings. When Diaz was 16 years old, his father was killed during a robbery, which made him unable to continue his education.

Instead, he focused on his career in show business. In 1987, Diaz began his career as an assistant to Cristy Fermin at Mariposa Publications. Later, he became a writer during the early ’90s and started his luck in talent management and acting at ABS-CBN. Diaz is also known for managing notable talents such as Liza Soberano and Vice Ganda.
