Kim Hyun Joong Shares How “Boys Over Flowers” Changed His Life

KIM HYUN JOONG – The South Korean actor-singer recently shared how “Boys Over Flowers” changed his life for the better.

The actor-singer is one of the stars in the 2009 South Korean drama series where he played the role of Yoon Ji Hoo – the rival of Goo Jun Pyo (played by Lee Min Ho) for the affection of Geum Jan Di (played by Goo Hye Sun).

Kim Hyun Joong, together with his translator, appeared on Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he invited the public – including comedian Donita Nose – to his concert on Friday at the Metrotent in Pasig City.

The actor-singer, through his translator, said in an interview with Boy Abunda that “Boys Over Flowers” was famous not only in the Philippines and South Korea but all over the world, which cemented his name as one of the most sought after South Korea actors of his time.

Kaya yung lahat ng buhay [ko] talaga nabago, hindi lang sa acting and also sa singing din,” Kim Hyun Joong said through his translator.

Also, the actor-singer is well aware of the Hallyu wave in the Philippines, and he thanked Filipino fans for their unending support and energy for the South Korean movies, series, and music.

According to him, Koreans and Filipinos have many similarities – including their love for singing in karaoke.

In the same interview, Kim Hyun Joong said that he admired Filipino talent and beauty. He added that he likes diving and also wants to visit Bohol.
