Get to know more about Jay-ar Coronel, the teacher who went viral because of his good looks
JAY-AR CORONEL – The handsome teacher has captured the attention of online users for his good looks.
It was on March 30, 2023 when he shared some photos of him and has since gained widespread attention with 24,000 shares, 11,000 reactions, and almost 4,000 comments, as of April 3.
Netizens left playful comments on the post expressing their desire to be enrolled in his class and promising not to be absent. Some even directly complimented the teacher, Wilfredo “Jay-ar” M. Coronel Jr., because of his looks.
But who is the teacher?
Jay-ar is a 31-year-old Grade IV teacher who teaches English and Math at Imus Pilot Elementary School in Imus City, Cavite. Jay-ar shared that the trending photos were taken by one of his students during a classroom observation. The photos he posted is a requirement for his portfolio as one of the Means of Verification (MOVs) for teachers.
Jay-ar also participated in male pageants multiple times and has been a semi-finalist in various competitions such as Mr. DMMMSU-MLUC 2011, Mr. Baguio City 2017, and Mr. Deped Imus City 2021.. Participating in pageants has helped boost his confidence, especially in public speaking, and has also provided him with a source of income through the cash prizes he has won.
Although Jay-ar is grateful for the attention he has received online for his good looks, he did not intend to go viral. He simply wanted to share his classroom observation like many other teachers on social media.
