DOH Advises Public To Observe Health Protocols Amid Holy Week Activities In PH

DOH: “We must continue upholding shared responsibility to protect everyone”

DOH – The Department of Health advised the public to observe health protocols amidst Holy Week activities in the Philippines.

The health department recorded 350 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the nationwide tally of COVID-19 cases in the country to 4,083,275.

In a statement, the health department reminded the public that they should observe health protocols and continue wearing face masks in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and maximize safety while participating in Holy Week activities this week.

The health department also urged the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19, to strengthen the wall of immunity, and to help prevent the spread of severe and critical effects brought by the coronavirus disease.

Through vaccination and adherence to safety precautions, today, we are able to celebrate Holy Week without any restrictions,” the DOH said. “Hence, we must continue upholding shared responsibility to protect everyone.

Citing the latest bulletin of the Department of Health, GMA News Online reported that the number of active COVID-19 cases slightly increased by 238 to 9,568.

In a press briefing last April 4, 2023, DOH Officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire urged the public to mask up when the place is crowded. She also asked the public to get inoculated against COVID-19 and to have booster doses.
