“Ano ako cougar?” remark of Cristine Reyes resurfaces
CRISTINE REYES – The controversial remark of the actress resurfaced amid the confirmation of his relationship with Marco Gumabao.
Marco Gumabao is an actor and model who comes from a family of actors and started his career in showbiz in 2012. Some of his notable projects include the TV series “Pamilya Ko” and the films “Just a Stranger” and “Block Z”.
On the other hand, Cristine Reyes is an actress who started her career in the entertainment industry in 2003 and has since appeared in numerous TV shows and films. Some of her notable projects include the TV series “Tubig at Langis” and the films “No Other Woman” and “The Gifted”.
It was on April 24 when Marco confirmed via his posts on Facebook and Instagram that he was in a relationship with Cristine. In the post, Marco referred to Cristine as his “home” and “adventure.” The photos showed them while having outings and vacations.
It was flooded with congratulatory messages from their friends and netizens, saying that they are a good match and both are single.
Cristine, who is a single mom and 34 years old, and Marco, who is 28, have an age gap that prompted netizens to recall a joke Cristine made during an uncut interview with Boy Abunda on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” when she was still with ABS-CBN.
During the interview, they showed different photos of actors with Cristine and asked her if they were her “Jowa” (partner) or “Tropa” (friend). When they showed a photo of Marco, Cristine joked and asked, “Am I a cougar?” The word “cougar” is an informal term that means “an older woman seeking a s*xual relationship with a younger man”.
