Lyca Gairanod on her non-showbiz boyfriend: “Hindi niya ako kilala as an artist”
LYCA GAIRANOD – The singer recently shared how her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend Kyle Walle started.
Lyca Gairanod appeared in a recent episode of “Magandang Buhay” aired last March 8, 2023 wherein the singer opened up about her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend.
According to the singer, it started from Kyle’s direct message to her on TikTok.
She shared in an interview on “Magandang Buhay” that she’s the first one to comment on one of Kyle’s posts, but it was him who messaged her first on TikTok. According to her, what made it funny was that Kyle didn’t know her as an artist.
“Actually, ito nga po ‘yung nakakatawa. Hindi niya ako kilala as an artist,” Lyca shared. “Nakita ko po siya sa Tiktok kasi dumaan siya sa [For You page] ko noong pa-scroll scroll lang [ako]. Tapos ‘yung [post] niya, may quotes siya na, ‘Di ko naiintindihan kung bakit,’ so nagcomment ako ng parang sad. Tapos after mga two days, hindi naman ako ano-ano, nagso-scroll lang ako ulit tapos may nag-[direct message] po sa’kin ng hi. Tapos ano ko lang [sa kanya], ‘Yo,’”
The singer was also asked if Kyle courted her immediately. She responded with “no” and said that he wants to see her in person and meet her family before courting her.
Lyca also revealed that Kyle is her first boyfriend.
She shared that she and her non-showbiz boyfriend even did long-distance when Kyle flew to the United States. However, the singer didn’t mention in the interview when Kyle had returned to the Philippines.

Lyca Gairanod first rose to fame after competing in the 1st season of “The Voice Kids” wherein she eventually emerged as the winner of the singing competition.
It was last 2021 when she went viral online because of her reaction to Karen Davila’s response after the broadcast journalist discovered that they both share the same birthday and zodiac sign.
