KMJS Issues Statement on Alleged Kpop Photocard Snatching Incidents

Here’s the statement of KMJS on alleged Kpop photocard snatching incidents

KMJS – The Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho has issued a statement on alleged Kpop photocard snatching incidents.

This was after an online post claiming of alleged snatching of Kpop merchandise at MRT-Cubao reached their program. Some attributed this to the airing of Bea’s story on KMJS who allegedly stole millions from her family to support her KPop collection.

In the said episode, a girl named “Bea” allegedly stole money from her grandmother to buy different merchandise including photo cards and albums of K-pop idols such as ENHYPEN, NCT, BLACKPINK and BTS.

KMJS coordinated with MRT-Cubao and nearby police stations to verify the incident. According to the management of MRT-Cubao and the police stations, there was no reported incident of Kpop merchandise snatching in the last 48 hours. However, they encouraged the “victims” to report similar incident to their office so that action can be taken.

The family of “Bea” plead to the public to stop attacking them online and exposing their identity. On the other hand, the management of KMJS is condemning the netizens’ “trolling” and “harrassment” to their staff who were behind the story of “Bea”. The show has contacted their Legal Team for their next step.

Here’s the official statement of KMJS:

KMJS stressed that like other stories featured on the show, they shared the story of “Bea” not to judge, but to serve as a lesson and a warning. The program has no intention to offend, harm others, or be divisive.
