NBI Investigates John Matthew Salilig Case, Alleged Group Chat Conversation of Frat Members

JOHN MATTHEW SALILIG CASE – The alleged group chat conversation of the frat members is now in the hands of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The authorities are currently in the process of investigating the incidents that led to the death of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig. He allegedly died after the “hazing” conducted by his fellow frat members in Tau Gamma Phi fraternity.

According to his older brother who is also a member of the said frat group, Matt-Matt is already a member of the Zamboanga chapter so he was not worried when he told him that he will be attending the welcoming rites. It was held in Biñan, Laguna but he was not able to come home alive after it.

Matt-Matt was missing for more than a week. The investigation led to the finding of his lifeless body in Cavite. He was buried allegedly by his brothers in the fraternity group.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, five (5) persons of interest recently surrendered to the authorities for the John Matthew Salilig case investigation. Also, the alleged group chat conversation of the members was submitted to the NBI.

Based on the report, in the said group chat, the frat members were seemingly talking about one member who fell ill and could not even go up the stairs when they came to the house of one of their fellow members. The conversation continued until there were already suggestions to bring him to the hospital, give him a CPR, and bite his fingers to wake him up.

The conversation lead to the confirmation that the said unnamed member died and the group decided to dispose him. The members also one-by-one left the said group chat the following morning until they deleted it. Currently, the investigation is still ongoing.
