Official statement of Jesus Christ River of Life Church on ‘Ford Raptor’ issue of their pastor
PASTOR ROMEO NUÑEZ – The leaders of the Jesus Christ River of Life Church have released a statement refuting the criticisms that have been circulating on social media regarding their church and its pastor.
The statement, which was sent to Palawan News, specifically denies a claim made by a certain Zamora Cha in a viral Facebook post that the pastor allegedly demanded a Ford Raptor as a gift from the church.
According to the church leaders, the vehicle mentioned by Ms. Zamora in her post was given to the pastor as a Christmas gift in 2019 and the church leaders themselves had a meeting and agreed to bless Nuñez by giving him a car.
The leaders also clarified the issue raised about their church activity that supposedly required each leader to pay P2,000. They explained that all the goals and fees related to the activity were discussed and agreed upon by all the leaders. The money collected was used to pay for the venue and food for the delegates during the two-day event.
The Jesus Christ River of Life Church stressed that nobody was forced to participate in their ministry, as it is a personal decision and a selfless act. The church added that those who actively participate in the ministry, including sharing the word of God, engaging in trainings, and attending meetings and fellowship, do so without any compensation.
The church leaders issued the statement in the hopes of putting an end to the slanderous attacks against their church.
