Paco Arespacochaga shares challenges while in the US
PACO ARESPACOCHAGA – The drummer of the Filipino pop rock band Introvoys shared the challenges he had in the US which include working as a kargador and cashier.
Arespacochaga is a musician who’s famous as the drummer of Introvoys, which is behind the hit songs; “Kailanman,” “Line To Heaven” and “Di Na Ako Aasa Pang Muli.” During his guesting in “Magandang Buhay” on Wednesday, he stated that he has no plans to leave his career in the Philippines.
According to the musician, he has already announced that he will join a recording label in the United States. However, when he arrived in the US, he encountered a problem that made him impossible to go on working there.
“In other words, hindi ako natanggap, hindi ako eligible to work. Pero na-announce ko na sa Pilipinas na successful ako, ayaw ko bumalik. So diniretso ko na, wala sa intensiyon ko na iwanan ang career para gawin ‘yung ginawa ko sa Amerika,” he said.
While staying in the US, he go through different challenges. Since he was not accepted by the recording label, he worked as a “kargador” for a beauty warehouse. He also worked at an electronic store as a cashier.
One of the hurtful words he receieved was from his manager, who said, “Dati napapanood kita sa TV ngayon tauhan kita.” There was also a time he was mocked by Filipinos who knew he’s the drummer of Introvoyz. He was newly remarried then, and while dealing with domestic issues, he also had to deal with personal career challenges.
In his guesting, Paco Arespacochaga became open about being a father. He has five kids already including Heaven, his daughter with singer Geneva Cruz.
