Jayson Gainza: “Nagkaroon ako ng depression, anxiety”
JAYSON GAINZA – The former Kapamilya comedian who is now a Kapuso admitted that even went through sadness, anxiety, and depression, prompting him to see a specialist.
In an episode of the podcast, “Updated with Nelson Canlas“, he shared the sad event in his life that he has to deal with.
While taping a show, he learned that his grandmother passed away. Despite what happened, he remained professional because he did not want to pack up or interfere the taping because of him. That’s why amid what he feels at the time, he decided to continue.
“Humagulgol lang ako nang humagulgol, siguro mga 15, 20, o 30 minutes yata ‘yon,” he said. “O, Jayson, magte-take na,’ kasi kailangan ako ang comic relief doon. Gawa pa rin kasi trabaho talaga, eh,” he added.
When his scene was finished, Jayson cried and mourned in the car. Jayson also admitted that he and other comedians are not always in the mood to laugh and like everyone else, they have down times.
“Mahirap din kasi, eh. Kaya minsan nagkakaroon kami ng… nagkaroon ako ng depression, anxiety,” he said. He even reached to the point, consulting a psychiatrist.
Meanwhile, Jayson Gainza is an actor, comedian, impersonator, host, entrepreneur and vlogger. He rose to fame when he became part of Pinoy Big Brother. He is best known for his impersonation of talk show host Boy Abunda as “Tito Bhoy Aboonduh”.
Following the cancellation of the comedy show Banana Sundae, he joined the cast of its rumored successor Sunday ‘Kada, which lasted until 2021. Gainza later appears in a GMA Network sitcom Happy ToGetHer alongside Home Sweetie Home co-stars John Lloyd Cruz and Miles Ocampo.
