Bela Padilla Speaks On Working With Korean Actor Yoo Min-gon

Bela Padilla: “One thing you should really look out for when you watch this movie is Min-gon’s performance.”

BELA PADILLA – The actress recently spoke about working with Korean actor Yoo Min-gon in a movie titled “Yung Libro Sa Napanood Ko”.

The London-based actress is also the writer and director of the movie, which is Viva’s official entry to the upcoming Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) from April 8 to 18, 2023.

One thing you should really look out for when you watch this movie is Min-gon’s performance,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

The actress told ABS-CBN News that the Korean actor was “very disciplined” on the set, adding that the actor already knew what he wanted to do from the start. She also relayed that his character is the narrator of the story.

Bela is also working with award-winning actress Lorna Tolentino in the film. According to her, Lorna Tolentino is the “heart” of the movie, while Yoo Min-gon is the “boat”.

Also, the actress believes that Min-gon and Lorna deserve acting awards for their performance in “Yung Libro Sa Napanood Ko”.

My wish is I really hope Min-gon and Miss LT get nominated because their performances are to watch out for,” Bela said. “I hope it’s not a deterrent that Min-gon is not a Filipino because he really deserves it. He’s amazing in this film.

The actress also learned a lot about shooting in South Korea through this project, saying that they strictly shot for only 10 hours a day. She also shared that they shot in a hospital building in Korea that can be used merely for shoots.

She commended how the government of South Korea was able to build the facility in order to support the creative community in the country.
