A unique method of recording and editing video that plays with frame rate is called time-lapse. The number of images, or frames, that show in a second of video is known as the frame rate. The majority of videos have a constant frame rate and playing speed. When played back at normal speed, a time-lapse video’s frame rate is much more stretched out, giving the impression that time is moving more quickly.

The term “time-lapse” can also be used to describe the shutter speed of a camera, or how long the shutter is left open to let light in. Videos shot in stop-motion have a time-lapse-like quality. Despite not moving, the subject appears to be moving because it has been physically moved or moved repeatedly before being photographed. After that, the images are connected to produce motion that resembles a video.

While time-lapses are often seen as films, they are essentially a series of raw photographs. Photographers use cameras to take a series of images, and then using a video editing tool, they turn the sequence into a video.

Meanwhile, a video which seemed to be a realistic timelapse has gone viral, garnering mixed reactions from netizens. It was just recently when a Lenard Berdin posted a video of him alongside his friend Chady Ybanez Lejesta. The video was accompanied by the caption: “Timeslapse muna tayo pre.”

In the video which supposed to be a timelapse, the two can be seen randomly doing some things at the same time talking. The video has gone viral garnering reactions from the netizens. One netizen jokingly said that it’s a “low budget” edition.
