ARNELL IGNACIO – The new administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration was criticized online because of his expensive watch.

Arnell, whose real name is Arnaldo Arevalo Ignacio, is a television Presenter, game show host, comedian, actor, news anchor, singer-songwriter, and public official.

Ignacio has served as the host of various programs, including Chibugan Na! Kwarta o Kahon, GoBingo, Katok Mga Misis, and K! The 1 Million Peso Videoke Challenge and sporadic Wil Time Bigtime hosts. He additionally served as a guest judge for the Philippine Idol special Kakaibang Idol, which featured contestants with the most impressive auditions.

He was chosen by President Rodrigo Duterte to serve as the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation’s Assistant Vice President for Community Relations and Services Department in 2016. Before being transferred to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to work as a deputy executive director and deputy administrator in January 2018, he worked for PAGCOR. According to reports, he left his position in February 2019 for personal reasons. Ignacio was chosen by President Bongbong Marcos to lead the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration beginning of 2022.

The renowned personality is currently making rounds online after being criticized for flexing his expensive watch. In the photos posted by the official Facebook page of OWWA, he can be seen wearing a Patek Philippe. The cost of a Patek Philippe ranges anywhere between $21,000 and $485,000.

In the photo, OWWA chief Arnell Ignacio can be seen eating lugaw in a lugawan in Bacoor, Cavite. The post was accompanied by the caption: “Very humble yet sosyal di ba hahaha.” Apparently, it seemed that the post was taken down already.
