It was last 2019 when Michelle first revealed that her two siblings have autism and also declared that her autism advocacy is a “lifelong mission” for her.

To mark this year’s National Autism Awareness Week, Michelle posted on Monday a video announcing the resumption of the annual “Angel’s Walk” organized by the Autism Society Philippines.

According to her, the live version of “Angel’s Walk” had to be postponed because of the global coronavirus pandemic, and 2023 marks the resumption in malls around the Philippines.

I’m sooo so happy that the Annual Angel’s Walk by @autismphils will be making a live comeback since the pandemic and we’re all very excited,” she wrote. “This is a lifelong mission for all of us and it’s been a dream knowing that waves whether big or small has been made.

Based on a report, the Autism Society Philippines is “a national non-profit dedicated to the well-being of Filipinos who live on autism spectrum and those who care for them.

Aside from Michelle Dee, other Filipina beauty queens have been busy advocating for the different causes they support.

Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi expressed her support for the “world’s largest cleft charity” on her social media account during the preliminary rounds of the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

On the other hand, Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol spent her Christmas with beneficiaries of the ERDA Foundation — an organization that she supports — and has also taught French to beneficiaries of the foundation.
