GL series for Janella Salvador and Jane de Leon?
JANELLA SALVADOR X JANE DE LEON – The stars of Mars Ravelo’s Darna are game to star in a girl’s love or GL series.
This was after fans started to ship them. Their scenes in the top-rating Kapamilya series even resulted to the birth of fandoms such as “Darlentina” and “JaneNella”.
Aside from the action-packed and dramatic scenes in the said Kapamilya series which is set to end this month, the audience is also looking forward to the “kilig” moments of the two stars.
Despite the fact that their characters, Darna and Valentina, contradict with each other, they have amassed a massive fan base that includes members of the LGBTQIA+ community who enthusiastically support the television series.
During the finale presscon of “Darna” that took place yesterday, Jane and Janella were asked about the popularity of their “tandem” and whether they would make a girls’ love series or movie as a follow-up to their team-up.

Jane said she did not expect their tandem will eventually boom. For her part, Janella said that she did expect they will earn the support of the LGBTQ community
When asked about doing a GL project with Jane, Janella said: “Of course, why not?”. Jane, on the other hand, explained: “Why not? Pero sana maganda talaga ‘yung story. Kasi it’s all about the craft din naman, ‘di ba kasi artist din kami. So challenge din ‘yun sa amin, if ever.”
Janella believes that the LGBTQIA+ community would be happy in case she and Jane will worked together in a lesbian series.
