Jake Cuenca recalls past issue with Baron Geisler: “Muntikan na kaming magsuntukan sa labas ng ASAP
JAKE CUENCA – The actor recalled an intense argument he had with fellow actor Baron Geisler, in which they almost got into a fistfight.
According to Jake, it happened on the set of ASAP. Fortunately, Star Magic founder Johnny Manahan otherwise known as “Mr. M” was there to prevent them from hurting each other.
Jake, who has been in the showbiz industry for 21 years, shared this in the “Spill or Swallow” challenge of PUSH Bets Live. “I think the craziest thing we’ve done on the set was muntikan na kaming magsuntukan sa labas ng ASAP. And Mr. M was there to stop the fight. And it was in the news!” he shared.
It can be recalled that it was in 2009 when the two had a serious altercation after Baron allegedly defamed and questioned Jake’s successive projects in ABS-CBN. According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Baron claimed that the reason why the actor does not run out of projects is because he has a “gay backer.”
Now, Jake and Baron are really good friends. In fact, they are just laughing about the issue they had before. He said: “Me and Baron laugh at it now. We’re the best of friends [now].”
After his fight with Baron, the two starred in the series Tayong Dalawa and the movie Lihis. Now they will work together again in the new ABS-CBN series The Iron Heart starring Richard Gutierrez.
