Here’s the message of a former congressman to Jay Sonza due to his comments about Celeste Cortesi
TERRY RIDON – The former congressman slammed veteran journalist Jay Sonza due to latter’s comment on tattoo of Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi.
it was on January 14, 2023 (US time) when the 71st Miss Universe pageant was held. R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States was crowned as Miss Universe 2022. It was the United States’ first victory in 10 years.
Apparently, the country’s reprentative Celeste Cortesi failed to secure a spot in the prestigious beauty pageant. Following her defeat on the international pageant, veteran journalist Jay Sonza blamed her particular tattoo on her body as the reason why she lost in the competition.
“Kung lalahok ka sa anumang beaucon, tiyakin mong wala kang tato ng malunggay sa singit. Mamalasin ka. Pramis,” he wrote.
Cortesi has 8 tattoos on different parts of her body, some of which are plant designs, her birthday and her late father’s initials. She also has a tattoo of her pet, a french bulldog.
His post earned a reaction from Terry Ridon, a former congressman. In a statement, the ex-politician called the veteran journalist “mukhang talong.”
“Kung magsasalita tungkol sa beaucon, tiyakin mong hindi ka mukhang talong,” he said according to TNT Abante.
Sonza was also critical of Cortesi’s national costume entry, in which she dressed up as Darna. “Parang hindi yata ako na-inform na ‘national costume’ na ang salawal, salong-dibdib at korona ni Darna. Pilipinas, Mabuhay!” he said.
