Nadine started her showbiz career as a former member of the all-female group Pop Girls. She then ventured into acting.

She rose to fame after playing the lead role of Eya Rodriguez in the film adaptation of the popular wattpad novel Diary ng Panget. She is also known for her role as Leah Olivar in the popular television series, On the Wings of Love with James Reid.

In 2018, her performance as Joanne Candelaria in the romantic drama film Never Not Love You received critical acclaim. She also earned several citations such as the Young Critics Circle Best Performer award, the FAMAS Award for Best Actress, and the Gawad Urian for Best Actress.

It was just recently when she was slammed by motivational speaker Rendon Labador. The latter called her “mahina ang utak” and “typical na ganda lang pero sabaw pala.”

Labador was reacting to the “interview” of Lustre wherein she said: “It’s not our responsibility to acknowledge everyone and to please everyone. Our responsibility is to give entertainment and that is not part of it.”

Apparently, that statement made by Nadine was taken from her interview with Edward Barber last year. Her statement was uploaded on social media, and related to the issue involving volleyball player Deanna Wong.

While she did not drop any names, Nadine Lustre earlier went to the microblogging site, Twitter wherein she tweeted: “Shoutout din to everyone who’s quick to judge + make content about a subject without knowing the full context first. I hope y’all got the clicks u wanted. Enjoy.”

Twitter user: @DanicaMika commented by saying “Report Rendon”. To which she replied: “sana mapanood niya yung interview bago siya gumawa ng video.”
