Hologram of Francis M during Eraserheads reunion concert
FRANCIS M – Thousands who watched the Eraserheads concert on December 22, 2022 were surprised when the so-called ‘Master Rapper’ Francis Magalona suddenly performed.
The band’s opening song was ‘Superproxy’ and joining them on stage is no other than the late Francis M via hologram. They performed the song together with his sons Elmo and Arkin Magalona.
The audience was completely amazed because they did not expect the surprise of E-Heads for them. “His hologram was done great that it felt like he was there on stage with Eraserheads!” a netizen said.
“Wow that Francis M hologram brought tears to my eyes. Mabuhay ang alaala mo Kiko!” another fan commented. “Opening song pa lang iiyak ka na lalo na kung nakita niyo yung hologram ni Francis M. on stage as if he’s real,” a netizen said.
It can be recalled that the Master Rapper is close to Eraserheads, especially to its frontman Ely Buendia. In fact, they have done songs together several times.
In 2009, the Eraserheads dedicated their reunion concert to the memory of Francis M. who passed away the same year due to leukemia. The Master Rapper was supposed to perform at the said concert but it was canceled due to his passing.
“As we all know, he was supposed to perform with them 13 years ago. A few days before the concert, he passed away. And now because of technology, through [a] hologram, we are going to bring him back to perform with the Eraserheads,” Francis Lumen, the producer of the concert said.
Before the said concert, the late rapper’s wife, Pia Magalona, said that she was excited to see her late partner again, even if it was only in hologram.
