Miel Fajardo, a Pinoy boxer, lauded by netizens for knocking down his opponent in 5 seconds
MIEL FAJARDO – The Filipino boxer earned the praises of netizens after knocking down his Thai opponent in just five (5) seconds.
Boxing is the sport or practice of fighting with fists, especially with padded gloves in a roped square ring according to prescribed rules. It is considered an extreme sport and only a few make a name out of it.
Among those who are popular in the field of boxing is no less than boxer-turned-politician Manny Pacquiao. But another Filipino fighter is making a name for himself in the field of boxing.
Miel Fajardo, a Pinoy boxer showcased his boxing prowess in a recent match in Bangkok, Thailand after knocking down Sarawut Jiamthong, a professional boxer from Thailand. Their match only lasted for five (5) seconds, earning him the ASEAN Boxing Federation (ABF) flyweight belt.
During their fight, Fajardo can be seen unleashing two fake jabs against the Thai boxer. Then, he unleased a straight jab hitting the head of his opponent. With a single punch, Jiamthong was knocked down. He tried to get up but was not allowed by the official referee.
According to the official record, Fajardo’s entire match lasted 10 seconds before the referee decided to end it. Currently, Fajardo has a record of 10-1-2 (win-loss-draw) and 9 KOs.
Some netizens even joked that the singing of the Philippine National Anthem was even longer than the actual match of Fajardo. Many Filipinos all over the world are rejoicing that the Philippines has a new champion in the field of boxing. They are hoping that Fajaro will win many more fights following his 5-second victory against the Thai champion.
