Fermin and Gonzaga once worked together in Juicy, the defunct showbiz-oriented program ng TV5. They became part of the said show for two (2) years. They were accompanied by IC Mendoza. Cristy called Alex “Simang” because she always frowned on the set of their TV show that went off the air in August 2012.

In an interview with Cabinet Files, Cristy shared that there was a time when she felt sorry for Alex’s make-up artist who was kneeling on the floor while applying make-up to the actress because she was lying down.

“Nakakaawa ang make-up artist niyang si Noel na nakaluhod, nakahiga kasi siya habang nagpapa-make up! Abuso siya! The late Alex Gonzaga!” she said.

“Ang executive producer ang kinausap ko. Ipinatanggal ko yung higaan ni Alex. Hindi na niya nagamit yun. Nakakaawa ang make-up artist niya. May serye siya [Alex] nun kaya palagi siyang late sa Juicy,” she added.

Cristy brought up about Alex’s past amid the issue between Alex and Dina Bonnevie, which has been the talk of the town lately. Many believe that Dina is the actress Alex is referring to in her podcast about the “artistang matanda” who left her traumatized after yelling at her.

Meanwhile, Alex whose real name is Catherine Cruz Gonzaga Morada is considered one of the most popular stars in the country. She’s also famous on social media with her self-titled YouTube channel which is one of the most subscribed channels in the Philippines. The sister of actress-host Toni Gonzaga started her showbiz career via the ABS-CBN sitcom, Let’s Go, where she played the role of Alex, which also became her personal nickname.
