Here’s the latest update about Vhong Navarro according to his lawyer
VHONG NAVARRO – Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque, the lawyer of the actor-television host gave an update regarding his condition at the Taguig City Jail.
It was on Monday, November 21 when Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro was transferred to Taguig City Jail from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Center in Manila. The detention center of NBI served as his detention facility since Sept. 20.
Presently, he’s on his fourth day at the Taguig City Jail which house 993 persons deprived of liberty (PDL). When he arrived at the jail facility, Navarro underwent a medical examination to ascertain his health status.
He has been quarantined in accordance with COVID-19 health protocols. Navarro will be quarantined for five to seven days as a fully immunized person, depending on the regulations. According to Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque, his collaborating counsel: “OK naman. Under quarantine pa rin sya up to now.”
Based on the rules of the BJMP, Vhong Navarro must wear the required uniform, which consists of a yellow t-shirt with the words “BJMP Changing Lives, Building a Safer Nation” on the front and “Taguig City Jail PDL person deprived of liberty” on the back and brown jogging pants with yellow piping.
The Taguig City Jail will evaluate whether there is a security threat against Navarro inside the jail complex and what effect his detention with the other PDLs will have. Navarro is charged with r*p*ng model Deniece Cornejo on January 17, 2014, inside her Taguig condominium.
