SAM MANGUBAT – The singer took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he called out a netizen who told him to stop making song covers.

Sam is a singer and songwriter. He started out as a freelance photographer and videographer. He became very well-known after competing in the first season of Tawag ng Tanghalan, an ABS-CBN singing competition that airs during the noon hour. He finished as the competition’s first runner-up.

It was on June 28, 2006, when he started his YouTube channel in which he posted his original and song covers. His covers were also featured on television shows such as Yeng Constantino’s “Ikaw” via Aldub:Tamang Panahon of Eat Bulaga and Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” on an episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on the GMA network.

Recently, he went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he called out a netizen who told him to stop making song covers.

In a comment, a certain Shi El La said: “why not compose ur own song to sang,sikat n mga yan lalo mo p pinapasikat,kong gusto nyo umangat sriling industriya natin sana tigilan nyo pang gagaya at kaka cover.”

This prompted Sam to call out the netizen. According to him, he also has original songs which can be found on YouTube and Spotify. He also urged the netizen to promote his songs.
