It was just recently when Maine Mendoza was interviewed by Ogie Diaz. In the said interview, she admitted that there are still fans who ask her if it is true that she has a child with Alden.

It appears that there are still fans who fantasize about Alden and Maine staying together and having a child. Apparently, some fans do not believe her, despite the fact that she has repeatedly stated on Twitter that she and Alden never had a relationship.

Maine is now engaged to Quezon City 1st District Rep. and actor Arjo Atayde. However, they are yet to divulge when are they going to tie the knot.

Following her interview, videos of “delusional” AlDub fans resurfaced on social media. This prompted a netizen named JAYJE GEE to call out the fans of the phenomenal tandem.

Grabe as in grabe. Ang lala ng nagagawa ng loveteam culture dito sa bansa natin. Yung ibang fans nagiging super delusional (emoji) Maine is engaged & matagal nang tinapos ang ALDUB. Eto talaga iyong fandom na kulto levels. Nakakatakot kayo. May pa kanta at kandila pa. Tigilan niyo na yan!!!!!” he noted in the caption.

His post was accompanied by an article from the Philippine Star, a video of diehard fans, and an interview with Maine. In the video of “super delusional” fans of AlDub, they can be seen singing while holding a candle. The netizen even said that they were just like a “kulto”.

AlDub, or Alden and Yaya Dub, rose to fame in the “Kalyeserye” segment of Eat Bulaga! from July 16, 2015 to December 17, 2016. This was followed by their tandem in the Kapuso primetime series Destined To Be Yours (2017) and the films My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore (2015) and Imagine You and Me (2016).
