ANDREA TORRES – The actress reacted to the comments on her portrayal of Sisa in GMA’s “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

Andrea Elizabeth Eugenio Torres is an actress, host, dancer, and commercial model. Currently, she is an exclusive contract artist of GMA Network .

Her most well-known roles include Cindy Rodriguez in the WeTV Original series BetCin, Diane San Luis in Legal Wives, Venus Torralba-de Jesus in Alyas Robin Hood, Cecilia Fulgencio-Altamonte in Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga, Juliet and Jasmine in The Better Woman, Annasandra in Ang Lihim ni Annasandra, and Luisa in The Millionaire’s Wife

She made her television debut in 2005 as a contestant on the teen-focused reality competition show, Qpids, on ABS-CBN. In 2008, she transferred to ABS-CBN’s rival network GMA.

Andrea Torres currently stars in GMA’s “Maria Clara at Ibarra.” The series is based on the novels of José Rizal: Noli Me Tángere and El filibusterismo. In the series, she portrays the role of Sisa, the mother of Crispín (Kian Co) and Basilio (Stanley Abuloc).

Previously, she trended on social media after an episode in which Sisa was tragically looking for her sons Crispin and Basilio. She was praised by netizens for effectively displaying a mother’s pain.

To thank those who appreciated her acting, she took to social media wherein she posted a vlog titled: “BTS: Behind the Sisa” wherein she reacted to the feedback and reenactments she received out of playing the iconic role. Watch the video below:

Meanwhile, Maria Clara at Ibarra also stars with Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose and Dennis Trillo. It premiered on October 3, 2022 on the network’s Telebabad line up replacing Lolong.
